Down the Rabbit Hole...
Action: Open to anyone who might be in the Battle Dome
[Artemis comes awake with a groan, aching everywhere, laying sprawled on something cold and hard. Metal? She couldn't tell, but it was certainly not where she'd last been. It was dark, the blackness so thick that she could make out nothing around her. She searches her memory, trying to remember what had happened, but her memories were steady and clear through the last battle and up to the team departing for the flight home again. This was not the bio-ship, at least she was pretty sure it wasn't. Who had turned out the lights? Had something gone wrong?]
Miss Martian? Aqualad?
[There was no answer to her mental probe, making her think that wherever she was, M'gann didn't have the team linked up. Maybe they'd crashed? She tried out loud instead.]
Robin? Superboy? Anyone? Hello?
[There's still no answer, so she moves, pushing herself up on her hands and knees, wincing at the way her body protests the movement. The lights come on with a suddenness and a brightness that has her slamming her eyes closed against the piercing glare even as her ears register the sound of movement. And then she's rolling because something's shooting at her and her hand drops to her holster, only to come up empty.
Her bow's gone. Hell, her entire holster is gone, and she is definitely not dressed in her uniform and what the hell happened on the flight back to Happy Harbor??]
Oh you have got to be kidding me.
Video Feed (a short while later)
[Hello, Luceti, have a skeptical blond teenager peering at you.]
So, uh, I'm still not entirely certain that this isn't some epic attempt at a very bad joke but someone told me these things are how people communicate here? Although at the moment, I'm just feeling really ridiculous sitting here talking to a book...
Action: Open to anyone around town
[Artemis has mostly recovered from her harried awakening earlier in the day and after getting a grasp of the basics of the place, she heads into the main part of the village to seek out some real clothes (first stop priority because whoever picked the outfits for this place was not planning for the weather) and steps back out looking a little more like herself. The items shop and weapons shop follow, because she feels a little naked without her bow and she's hoping that might turn up here as well. That accomplished, she'll start hunting for a place to find some food before figuring out what she should do next.]
((OOC: Feel free to bump into her anywhere in town, if you prefer an action thread instead of a video feed. Also feel free to break time in the Battle Dome thread, I don't mind doing more than one thread of peopleshooting at finding her!))

[action]
So Jason, a small kid in a somewhat familiar-looking outfit, drops down and makes quick work of the few thugs in the flashiest way possible. He doesn't know Artemis is there, but. Well. It's fun, okay?
He trips up the last one and the guy hits the pavement hard. The gunshots stop, at least for now, though that may not last long.]
Didn't even break a sweat!
Re: [action]
...Alright so maybe she'd lured them into the alley, but she had no idea where she was, where her weapons were, or what she was wearing, but at least she could fix one of those problems with these goons closing in. It doesn't take her long to take them down and she doesn't even notice the gunfire has died down elsewhere until the last one in front of her gets off a shot a second before her blow has him crumbling to the pavement. The sound echoes off the bricks as the bullet ricochets and she winces at how it echoes, seeming even louder as a lone shot than it had in a group of them.
Crap, that was going to bring more, wasn't it? This is why she likes arrows.
Still, her choices were limited at the moment, so she bends down to scoop up the pistol one of the thugs had dropped, because it was still better than nothing. She steps out of the alley and pauses, looking around for any landmark that might tell her where she was.
Which is when she spots a matching pile of unconscious thugs in the street outside - the reinforcements? - and a costumed figure standing over them.]
Hey. What's the deal?
[action]
That's definitely a little weird.]
What do ya mean, "what's the deal?" Who're you?
Re: [action]
I'm Artemis. Who're you? And where are we? And are you really sure you should be running around like that?
[action]
...he's not sure what she means by that last question, though. He frowns a little.]
I'm Robin, we're in the Battle Dome, and I'm pretty sure I can run around however I want. What, is there something on my cape?
Re: [action]
Nice try. I don't know what game you think you're playing, but you could get hurt running around like that. Actual bad guys could show up.
[action]
I can handle myself just fine against "actual" bad guys, thanks. I don't get to wear this outfit for nothin'. [It was given to him, after all. He'd earned it! Before he can really explain the Battle Dome thing, though...] How did you get here, lady?
Re: [action]
Fine, but you'd better hope the "actual" Robin doesn't find out. I don't think he'd agree with you.
[At his question, she pointed her thumb over her shoulder at the alley behind her.] Nooo idea. I woke up back there. There's more of your friends in there by the way, but they won't be getting up again anytime soon.
[action]
[He can't help being a little indignant. He's never the "actual" Robin, sigh. Jason leans over a bit to see where she means.]
Some wake-up call, huh? But don't worry, none of this is real anyway. It's a simulation.
Re: [action]
She glances around at his explanation, still looking confused. None of this made sense.]
Simulation? Are we in the Cave?
[action]
[Jason's been here so long that he's used to this place's weirdness and... kind of forgets that not everyone else is! Especially when she actually seems to know what he's talking about. Kinda. He shakes his head.]
No, it's called Luceti. It's complicated, but we're not in Gotham anymore.
Re: [action]
[She lifts her hand to rub at her temple, because this was not getting any clearer. Complicated was an understatement.]
Maybe you should start at the beginning.
[action]
Like I said, it's called Luceti. I know this is gonna sound weird, but it's another world. Something brought us here and now we're trapped.

Re: [action]
...This place was going to make her head hurt, wasn't it?]
[action]
[Now, it was true that Bruce had a habit of not telling Jason everything, and that annoyed the heck out of him. Still, something like this? A weird, interdimensional prison? He's pretty sure he'd have told him about that.
...well. Maybe.]
Time works pretty funny here, too, in case you haven't noticed.
Re: [action]
Funny how? [She hadn't noticed, actually, but she'd been a little busy fighting when she first woke up, so maybe she missed something...]
[action]
They also say that time doesn't seem to pass while we're stuck here. That means we won't miss anything while we're gone.
Re: [action]
Maybe I am. As weird as that is to think about. But there's only ever been one Robin where I come from. And I really doubt he's going to be hanging up his cape anytime soon.
[action]
[It doesn't really sound like he thinks that's a bad thing, either. As much as Jason loved being Robin, he knew from the start that he couldn't be Robin forever.]
Sometimes, people get sent home and end up coming back with all their memories. It doesn't happen a lot, but it's happened before. When they went back, they just saw that nothing changed.
